When I moved to coastal North Carolina in 2014, it didn’t take long to feel a sense of familiarity. Having grown up surrounded by the beaches and laid-back lifestyle of Hawaii, I found many of those same qualities here. The beautiful scenery, welcoming communities, and coastal way of life made the area feel like a natural fit—and over the years, it has truly become home.
