Let me just say that I feel blessed to have lived the majority of my child and adult life in North Carolina. However, it is slightly baffling when reflecting on the many lives lived previously in absolute dreamscapes like Utah, Southern California and Puerto Rico. Fortunately, we landed back in Wilmington with a perfect young family in February of 2013 ready for our best adventure.

Winston-Salem and the Piedmont may have been a great place to attend grade school, however I was constantly sneaking off on beach trips and looking/dreaming west. I simply couldn't wait to go to Appalachian State and finally live in Boone where I had big ideas to become a pro skier. Ironically it's the summers that are the sweetest thing about living in the high mountains of NC, we definitely still reminisce during the hot months down east! After graduating with a B.A. in English (still looking/dreaming west) I drove straight to the Wasatch Mountains in Utah to pursue a proper ski bum life: ski patrolling disguised as a powder hound all day and bartending by night at the legendary Nacho Mama's Cantina. In spring of 2001 after closing the mountain for the season a comrade mentioned something about leaving the next day for a surf trip to San Diego. Even though I was not a natural at surfing, one wave and I forgot every other pursuit to date. Fast forward to 2022 and planned to part with our small landscaping business in order to embrace this full time role with Sold Buy the Sea Realty. After accomplishing a few humble goals in life so far it seems nothing easy is worth doing. I intend to climb the highest mountain, and truly inspire to help others seek out their high mountains.
